The Coates family, who own Bet365, are ranked 19th Richest in the UK


According to the latest reports, Denise, John and Peter Coates have made it into the top 20 of the Sunday Times UK richlist. As the family owns Bet365, they just about got there in the end with the company doing wonders to the UK gambling scene. Let’s take a look at the story as a whole.

Coates Family See Bet365 Richlist

With 93% of Bet365, the Coates family occupt the 19th spot of wealth in the UK. They’re worth a total of £6.856bn. This figure has risen £1.1bn since last year, and sees them move up two places.

According to The Sunday Times, the Bet365 owners were the second-highest taxpayers in 2018 in the UK. Their tax bill reached £156m for 2017-18.

Sir David and Sir Frederick Barclay, who own the Ritz Hotel Casino, came 17th, rising £600m to be worth a grand total of £8bn.

As for Sri and Gopi Hinduja and their family, they have been named the UK’s wealthiest people, worth £22bn. The Hinduja Group, founded in Mumbai in 1914, has interests around the world, including oil and gas, banking, IT and property.

It’s a true surprise to see the Coates family move two places up since last year, showing how fascinating one successful year can do for you.
