As of today, GVC and Playtech are officially partners. And not just for a short-run, the two have signed a long-term contract that will keep them partners until 2025. Part of the deal will see Playtech provide its products to all GVC brands in both existing and new markets. Let’s take a look.
Playtech have agreed to supply Ladbrokes Coral with software for self-service betting terminals in the UK, Ireland and Belgium. This has been extended now.
GVC’s brands include the likes of Ladbrokes Coral, Bwin, PartyPoker, Gamebookers, BetBoo and CasinoClub.
GVC and Playtech in it for the Long-run
It seems as though the deal is a marketing way to become more accessible for customers to play. It’s a win-win for both GVC and Playtech. GVC came out after the deal with their own statement:
“For the first time, many of these brands will have access to proven content and services from one of the world’s leading suppliers.”
Playtech CEO Mor Weizer also came out with his own words on the deal merging the two companies closer together:
“We are pleased to have reached a new agreement with GVC, which expands on the successful partnership we have established with Ladbrokes Coral over the last six years.”
Before the deal was signed, the Playtech CEO was talking about organic growth within the company following the results of 2018’s financial revenue.
“We do believe, following a number of acquisitions including Snaitech, we will be very focused on organic growth and we expect a lot of organic growth in the coming years.”
